Canaima beherbergt die bekanntesten Natursymbole Venezuelas und die drittgrösste indigene Gruppe des Landes, das Volk der Pemon. Aufgrund ihrer abgelegenen Lage können jedoch nur wenige den Park besuchen und mit den Einheimischen in Kontakt treten.

Die Organisation Eposak plant, ein Stück Canaima nach Caracas zu bringen, und zwar mit einer immersiven Ausstellung. Das Projekt erforscht Virtual Reality als immersives Medium, um die Geschichten der Pemon zu erzählen und das Interesse der venezolanischen Öffentlichkeit zu wecken, mehr über ihr kulturelles Erbe zu erfahren.

Canaima is home to Venezuela’s most famous natural symbols and the third largest indigenous group in the country, the Pemon people. However, due to its remote location
few are able to visit the park, connect with the locals and learn about their culture.

The organisation Eposak is planning to bring a piece of Canaima to Caracas with an immersive exhibition. This project explores virtual reality as an immersive medium to tell the stories of the Pemon people with the hope to to provoke an interest in the Venezuelan public to learn about their cultural heritage.
