From the rolling hills of Switzerland to the endless expanses of the United States – our family, now in its ninth generation, has been particularly successful in passing on its knowledge as farmers. This gives agriculture a central role in shaping our family identity. In „Through the fields where I met you“ I explore the history of my family through a large family archive, focusing on the migration patterns and farming traditions that have been passed down through generations. By delving into the personal history of my family, this project aims to shed light on larger themes of migration, tradition and the importance of personal legacy.
