This project questions how we teach and learn design, especially in product design education. Traditional methods often focus on step-by-step processes that aim for clear outcomes, leaving little room for exploration or reimagining the process itself.
As a response, I propose using voice as a method to rethink design. Voice becomes a tool to shape, form, and interact with materials—introducing emotion, intuition, and experimentation into the practice.
The tool developed in this project allows designers to use their voice to form physical objects. It invites playful engagement and sensory approach to creation.
This challenges conventional design education and asks: What if learning design prioritised questioning, feeling, and experimenting? Voice becomes a way to open this conversation and share alternative methods with others.
This project proposes a more open-ended process—one that embraces imagination, and new possibilities for how we think and work as designers.
