From the Inside-Out

Planning Buildings by reversing Perspectives in Prchitecture

The field of architecture prioritizes time, cost, and efficiency, but must also consider the user. Let’s rethink our approach to home, starting from the inside, as our environment greatly impacts on our well-being.

The project explores the potential of creating livable space within existing buildings by making precise design decisions that validate changes and identify opportunities while acknowledging previously neglected areas.

By creating floor plans for potential users, each iteration yields insights that drive design decisions. These decisions act as pivotal points and provide rationale for changes, reshaping the entire building through adjustments to interior and exterior walls.

All users of designed spaces should be considered. Enhanced adaptability to their needs expands opportunities, contributing to their well-being. Planners and experts are indirectly impacted by receiving precise decisions about well-designed spaces.

My project explores an alternative approach, supplementing the current planning process. Small but decisive adjustments in the design phase result in more adaptable buildings.
