Die Tracht ist fester Bestandteil des Postkartenbildes der Schweiz. Im Alltag gerät sie zunehmend in Vergessenheit, genauso wie das handwerkliche Erbe, welches sie beinhaltet. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, die gestalterische Sprache und das traditionelle Handwerk der Schweizer Tracht aufzugreifen und im zeitgemässen Streetstyle umzusetzen. Aus Secondhand- Materialien entstand eine Accessoire-Kollektion, die Tradition und Moderne miteinander verbindet. Die Kollektion lädt dazu ein, vertraute Bilder zu hinterfragen, die Faszination für das Traditionelle im heutigen Kontext wiederzuentdecken und dem alten Handwerk neue Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken.

The traditional costume is an integral part of the postcard image of Switzerland. In everyday life, it is increasingly being forgotten, as is the craft heritage it contains. The aim of this work is to pick up on the design language and traditional craftsmanship of traditional Swiss costume and translate it into contemporary street style. Second-hand materials were used to create an accessory collection that combines tradition and modernity. The collection invites you to question familiar images, to rediscover the fascination for the traditional in today’s context and to pay new attention to old craftsmanship.
