TextSight is a project aimed at helping students, researchers, and professionals manage and make sense of their extensive notes and data. By integrating OpenAI’s GPT-4o model into the Obsidian note-taking app, TextSight creates a visualization of textual data.

The project began with interviews to understand user challenges in managing notes, leading to the exploration of knowledge management frameworks like Zettelkasten and Second Brain. These frameworks, though powerful, lacked modern, interactive features, sparking the idea to integrate AI for better data handling.

TextSight is open source under an MIT License, encouraging community participation. The project has a dedicated Discord community and a public GitHub page, allowing users to contribute actively.
