For many, my home country, Switzerland, is the model of a perfectly functioning nation. In this project I look behind this perfection and deal with the obvious but also hidden Swiss mentalities, virtues and clichés. My series comprises visual (re)interpretations in the form of several staged photographs which I draw on memories, perceptions and statistics. Above all, in this project I dedicate myself to one of the most famous Swiss mentalities: I practise an appreciative and at the same time neutral criticism. The series draws on contemporary and historical references.
