Solutions and strategies for small and medium-sized businesses

Swiss companies acknowledge the importance of sustainability and take corresponding measures, albeit mainly on an ad hoc basis and within their means. Small and medium-sized enterprises need resources to integrate sustainability, motivate employees, overcome financial constraints and time constraints.
How can small and medium-sized enterprises improve their sustainability through service design? The thesis examines the shift from product-centric to service-centric offerings, emphasizing the role of sustainability in driving innovation and creating opportunities for hybrid values.
Workshops kickstart a company’s sustainable transformation. Based on the “Theory of Change,” this 360° Service program can be repeated in cycles to increase participants› knowledge and acceptance levels.
The target group are Swiss SMEs with at least ten employees who are involved in manufacturing, processing, or distributing goods. The program is customized to the unique circumstances of these businesses, considering factors such as time constraints, financial investment, and employee participation.

My program 360° helps SMEs identify opportunities and overcome hurdles through workshops. Over three stages, participants acquire knowledge, are sensitized to sustainability through design tools, and develop innovative solutions by activating their creativity.
