Everyone says that I’m like my grandfather in every way. From my personality, the way I speak to every single little move I make.
But what ties us the most together is that we both are artists. I only recently found that out about him.
I only met him once, but as I think more and more about the encounter, the more I believe that he fundamentally shaped me in it.
This short film explores my connection with him, his story pursuing art during the Vietnam war, as well as my memories of him and my own roots.
