A human-centred approach to revive the offline retail experience

Description:

The problem at hand is that people more and more shop online and stores are more and more closing down, the linkage between these two developments is not to be overseen. How can a town like Schwyz SZ be made more enlivened whilst having less demise of stores? The answer is “Schwyz Shoppt”. 

What:

Schwyz Shoppt; an event in the town of Schwyz that lures the shoppers into the stores and thus enlivens the town. The event focuses on providing the user with a new experience when shopping offline. It’s a social event that brings the people and the stores together and allows the user a stress less, more comfortable and safe shopping experience. The concept with its two features; Time to shop and Saley, will be further described in the PDF «Concept Schwyz Shoppt”. 

Why:

Schwyz Shoppt is a solution, tackling the issue of the increase in online shopping. Its usage increases every year, and this is a reason among many for the problem of the demise of stores. 

How:

By having an event that brings the online user and in general people in the brick and mortar stores, the town will be revived, and the stores will realise an increase in profit. The concept can have a long-term influence for the stores by receiving new customers through the event and the additional features; Time to shop and Saley.
