For the fourth time a new class now launched its studies “MSc International Financial Management (MSc IFM)”. Students from eight different countries and five continents came to the IFZ in Zug to learn about Financial Management in a truly international set up. The studies traditionally start with an introduction week early September – accompanied with the refreshment Caffè Latte from Emmi, a traditional company from Central Switzerland.

After a general introduction to the world of the MSc IFM by the Head of Programme Prof. Dr. Michael Blankenagel, the new students had the possibility to make – in a playful and practice-oriented way – their first steps into the world of financial management and process optimisation with the “Controlling-Game”. Fun and a touch of ambition accompanied the new course to the evening.

While the students in the morning of the second day still were a bit cautious, the afternoon displayed a great opportunity to get to know each other better. As part of a treasure hunt through the city of Zug, where the route goes along sights and important places, the students got some distractions from the new information they received the last two days. At the end of the second day refreshments were served in the premises of the IFZ. The third and last half day of the introduction week was finally dedicated to the challenges in a multicultural environment.
