Details zum Hackathon
As part of the International Entrepreneurship Week, an online academic hackathon is expected to take place, in collaboration between 3 academic institutions from Israel and Switzerland – HIT Institute of Technology, Tel-Hai Academic College and Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
For many patients, being admitted to a hospital in an unplanned situation, is a complex and unpleasant experience. This experience includes physical difficulties such as pain, fatigue and discomfort. In addition, it includes emotional difficulties characterized by feelings of fear, uncertainty, alienation, confusion etc.
These experiences are challenges for the Sheba Medical Center – the largest and leading medical center in the center of Israel.
During the hackathon students from different faculties will work in multidisciplinary groups of 5-7 students on the challenge of Sheba Medical Center to improve the patient experience during hospitalization.
The hackathon will last two and a half days, Wednesday, Nov. 18, 9 a.m. to Friday, Nov. 20, 1 p.m. Israel time. There will be joint activity times for everyone, while the rest of the time is dedicated to the flexibility of activity of each team. Each team will be accompanied by a professional facilitator, and by the time the teams will have shaped their first content and results, experts will be at their disposal.
Experiencing such an event will give you a unique opportunity to operate in an arena of innovation in collaboration with students from different fields, to go through an interesting and challenging experience and to take part in an international entrepreneurship competition.
