European Prize for Women Innovators 2025
For the Pledgers and Talents of the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative, especially the women-led Pledgers and female Talents, there is exciting news: the European Prize for Women Innovators 2025 is now open for applications. This prestigious award honors the extraordinary achievements of women entrepreneurs who drive innovation and positive change for people and the planet.
Overcoming Barriers in Technology and Business
Despite significant progress, systemic barriers continue to hinder the advancement of women in the technology and business sectors. The European Innovation Council (EIC) and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) recognize the indispensable role of women in creating a better future. By breaking down these barriers and promoting the empowerment of women, the EIC and EIT aim to inspire girls and women everywhere, highlighting the crucial importance of inclusivity in these fields.
Celebrating Innovation and Positive Change
This joint initiative by the EIC and EIT underscores the central role women entrepreneurs play through their innovative projects. By showcasing women’s successes, the prize not only celebrates outstanding achievements but also serves as a powerful inspiration for future generations of female innovators.
Prize categories
- EIC Women Innovators category: Open to women founders and co-founders from the EU and Associated Countries. Three prizes of EUR 100 000, EUR 70 000 and EUR 50 000 are awarded to the three highest-ranked applications.
- EIC Rising Innovators category: Targeting promising innovators under the age of 35. Three prizes of EUR 50 000, EUR 30 000 and EUR 20 000 are awarded to the three highest-ranked applications.
- EIT Women Leadership category: Focused on women with a direct link to the EIT Community. Three prizes of EUR 50 000, EUR 30 000 and EUR 20 000 are awarded to the three highest-ranked applications.
Key Dates
Online Info-session: 05.07.2024 (from 11:00 to 12:00 CEST)
Application deadline: 25.09.2024 – 17:00 CET
The online info session will provide detailed information about the application process and the award procedures for each category. Participants will also receive tips on preparing their applications from a former jury member and hear a testimonial from one of the 2024 winners.
