14th International Conference on Exploring Service Science (IESS 2.4)

Are you the leader of a startup that wants to contribute to the creation of multidisciplinary service ecosystems that address global societal challenges? Then look no further than the 2nd IESS Startup Workshop, taking place on 7 February 2024 in Brno, Czech Republic.

This highly interactive workshop is designed to inspire, unite and collaborate with diverse stakeholders – including government agencies, NGOs, academia and businesses – to foster and sustain an ecosystem conducive to the creation of start-ups. By attending, you’ll have the opportunity to share authentic stories, successes and hurdles faced by practitioners, providing practical insights. You’ll also work together to define strategies for engaging startups to effectively address social and business challenges.

Key areas of exploration include understanding and nurturing a startup’s capacity to innovate, exploring how startups contribute to building service ecosystems, and creating a supportive environment for startups. You’ll also have the opportunity to identify barriers faced by startups and SMEs and explore how these barriers can be addressed through government policies or specialised services.

By participating in this workshop, you’ll be contributing to the integration of startups in societal development through service science. We encourage you to submit position papers or slide presentations, limited to a maximum of five (5) pages or slides, via the EASYCHAIR platform.
