RE:CALL

In an era of digital overload and image saturation, our most treasured moments are increasingly outsourced to the seemingly infinite cloud: stored, flattened, and often forgotten. As memory becomes mediated by these digital systems, RE:CALL asks what it means to remember in the 21st century.

Visitors, lying beneath a canopy of projected light, are prompted to recall a memory via their phones. A machine-learning system responds by assembling images, video, and audio through emotional and atmospheric association, creating an unrepeatable Kopfkino of mnemonic media projected overhead. If consent is given, each interaction becomes part of an evolving and seemingly infinite collective memory archive, blurring the boundary between human recollection and machine reconstruction.
