“HR Assignments in China”, “Capital Budgeting Techniques in Switzerland” or the “Analysis of the Optimizing Potential of an International MIS” are examples of bachelor theses which were written at the IFZ. Here, high quality research is not only done in German, but in English as well. Students of the study program “International Management & Economics” have tasked international and interdisciplinary issues successfully. This kind of research work makes high demands on students as well as on lecturers. Both partners have to cope with other cultures and other topics. This integration is especially successful when the student can approach the thesis when on an exchange semester or on study visit. Fine examples of such theses are:

  • Jonathan Brandt (2012): Toward an Optimisation of ABB Turbocharging Ltd.‘s MIS ATURB Commercial
  • Yuki Gallardo Kamiya (2012): Capital Budgeting Techniques: Theory and Practice. A Survey of Techniques Used by Firms within Switzerland
  • Florian Bornhauser (2013): International Assignments in China: A Case Study of a Swiss Multinational
